Maundy Thursday Candlelight Service

[image]On Thursday of Holy Week, we will join together in our customary Maundy Thursday Tenebræ and Communion Service. This candlelit service is one of our most beautiful services of the year. In it, we read the gospel narrative of Jesus' passion and death. The readings are interspersed with music to encourage meditation on the meaning of the readings. It is an excellent way to prepare spiritually for Easter.

Flowers for Easter — and Beyond

Each year we buy flowers to celebrate Easter. This year we plan to buy perennial flowers. Then after Easter, we will plant them along the front walkway of our church building in memory of loved ones.

If you would like to purchase a perennial flower in memory of someone, talk with Ricky.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Join us for our semi-annual Red Cross blood drive. To sign up, speak to Jeff or Tracy.

[Spring is a good season to save lives]

The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive at Marple Christian Church on Tuesday, April 7. Winter storms have created an urgent need for blood and platelets! Each time you donate blood, you help save up to three lives.

Mystery Dinner

We're planning our annual Mystery Dinner on Saturday, April 18. A mystery dinner is a light-hearted game with a chance to dress in costume, pretend to be a character, interact with other characters, and try to solve a fictitious murder mystery. There really is a dinner.

On March 8, our instrumental trio performed J. S. Bach's Arioso, arranged by J. F. Wilson.

Christian Kuphal, flute; Jay Treat, oboe (EWI); Dale Blair, piano.
