Christian Women's Fellowship Retreat, Pennsylvania (CWF, Disciples' Women) continued from "Things you can expect at Retreat" ...communion with God and each other ...going forward for the communion of the bread and the "wine" Note the Fabric of Life banner (click on the red ltrs) between the two green banners, showing the fabric of different parts of our lives.
...plenty of time for conversations
...and time to sit and think and pray. Emily and Mary are enjoying a fountain (with a rock waterfall) in a courtyard surrounded by the enclosed hallways of the rooms. (there were two cute little frogs in the fountain) There is also a two hour silent meditation scheduled on Saturday afternoon, with plenty of quiet places and trails to go commune with God in nature.
...a time for fun (here we are raffling off the baskets, a fundraiser)
...time for even more fun, and some serious silliness
...and more fun, like the going away honor/roast for Madelyn Logan, and the hugs.
...and a time for uplifting spirituality. We almost always end in a circle, with prayer. Here, we're each holding a segment of a very long length of fabric, made by tying fabric segments together, symbolic of each of us (a fabric segment) being connected to one another so that we can reach so much farther.
The retreat site shown is Camp Crestfield near Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. It is surrounded by a forest, and has a creek nearby. Cost for one person to share a room with three single beds was $110.00, but scholarships were available for $35.00 of that, depending on availble funds. It is our hope that you will join us for our retreat next September 8, 9, and 10, in 2006. Check back to this site for more details that will be added. back to CWF Retreat, page 1 / / back to local CWF back to Regional CWF / / interregiona and international CWF
